I think I'm getting somewhere with Doc logic ; he will suck up to a
team (NUFC) who is a rival of a team he hates (Boro). It also complies
with his view that there are no neutral teams - they are either good or
evil.

Good clubs can be contaminated by evil clubs though. So for example if
Steve Bruce were ever to manage NUFC Doc would turn on them because
they caught the Man Utd evil from Bruce, in much the same way thay
Steve Mclaren brought his manc evil to Teesside.

Man Utd are very much the "gravity" through which the universe of Doc
logic operates. Understanding their pivotal role is key.

This whole thing is far more intriguing than the Twins' Paradox and
chimera stuff IMO.
